Multi-tasking that works!

“We are called to give up so much in sacrifice so that we can have much more time, energy, and money to give in generosity.”

If you know me personally, you know how much I rely on exercise to maintain sanity. To that end during the summer holidays, I wake up at 5:00 am and head to the gym so that I can be back before the brood wakes up.

Well, yesterday was no different other than a resolute mind having to urge a reluctant body! I tip-toed downstairs to guzzle up a large cup of brew, slipped into my shoes and as I turned the door knob…“Mommy, can you come sleep with me?” It really wasn’t a question!

The day tarried on with errands to run, fires to put out, mouths to feed and minds to inspire. Before I knew it…11:30 pm! I am a creature of habit and don’t do well when I’m thrown off my core routine. But that was what I was called to sacrifice yesterday.

Change of plans today. Woke up at 6:00 am when the 5 year old is less clingy and went on a run through the neighborhood with the 9 year old.

✔️Exercise

✔️Mommy duty

Now, that multi-tasking works for me!
